Solution to Canon DSLR & Windows 7

I have a Rebel XT, so the settings might be a little different. I pushed the “menu” button on the back of the camera, which brings up several camera setting menus, such as picture quality, display settings, and so on. The “communication” option on my camera is on the far right drop down menu, which is identified with a little wrench and a number two. Once I was on there, I just scrolled down and selected the communication option to choose between the two options.

Granted, our two cameras are going to be a little different, but they should be similar. When in doubt, consult your owner’s manual for communication option, or something like that. You can always download the manual from canon’s website.

Of course, if we set the connection type to Print/PTP, we would be able to transfer pictures, delete files etc.

In addition, you can try to install the Windows Virtual PC to obtain the Windows XP Mode, you can get it from the following link:

After you get it, you would be able to run the older productivity applications that may not run otherwise on Windows 7.
