This colorful watercolor abstract edition of this popular quote by the late Dr. Maria Montessori continues to be a best seller in my shops. When a customer asked me if I could make her a print that she didn’t already have from my Montessori Collection, this is what I created for her. The watercolor design is childlike; perfect for the backdrop of a work of art featuring a quote about children. It’s now in my Etsy shop and will appear in other shops soon.
The greatest sign of success for a teacher… is to be able to say, “The children are now working as if I did not exist.” – Maria Montessori
Hot off the press and brand new in my shop! The colors turned out very classical and subtle. I’m very happy with how it all came together. Some of you have all my Montessori prints! So here is a brand new one to add to the collection!
“There are far, far better things ahead, than any we leave behind.” – C.S. Lewis
C.S. Lewis wrote this in a letter to a woman he never met but corresponded with until the end of his life. This letter is in his book; Letters To An American Lady. It’s a very deep and interesting book full of letters that he wrote from his heart.
I used this quote to create an art print to remind us that our loved ones are in a better place. The struggle of letting go is often times very difficult. It seems I’ve been having to let go of loved ones a lot in the last few years. I find peace in reading this quote. I wish the same for you.
This Native American prayer is a powerful reminder that change is a constant part of the peaceful nature that is around and within us.
I give you this, one thought to keep.
I am with you still, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush… of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone –
I am with you still, in each new dawn.
