Sneak Peak: Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center Photos

My husband and 15-month old daughter surprised me on Mother’s Day with a trip to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center here in Austin, Texas. I wasn’t prepared for the beauty that surrounded me! I did have some of my photo gear with me though. I am motivated to take some photo classes now to shoot nature shots! Artistic variations of some of the flowers and butterflies will be featured in my upcoming greeting card line. Stay tuned!

I plan to visit the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center frequently to capture more of its natural beauty.

Happy 2nd Mother’s Day to Me

I got to sleep in this morning while my husband and 15-month old daughter were quietly cooking up a hand-painted Mother’s Day card and breakfast! It was awesome. Then they surprised me with a trip to the Lady Bird Johnston Wildflower Center here in Austin. I was in heaven when I saw all the wildflowers and butterflies. I have so many photographs to share. Stay tuned… and happy Mother’s Day to all the mommies out there!

Pretty in Purple

Purple has suddenly become my favorite color! Beautiful!

Flowery Texas

It’s a beautiful time of year in Texas! Pretty flowers can be found everywhere!

Flutter, flutter butterfly

I’ve been doing a lot of walking and photographing lately. The walking paths here at The Riata are wonderful. There are birds that sing in the mornings and butterflies fluttering about. My daughter enjoys all the walks in her Radio Flyer wagon each day.  Who wouldn’t?! It’s peaceful and joyful!

Spring Blossoms

It’s beautiful in Kentucky this time of year. There are these gorgeous blooming trees all over Fort Campbell.

Winter Wonderland

It was fun to wake up to bright white snow on the ground early this morning. It wasn’t quite the storm that the local weather service here at Fort Campbell predicted. However, their idea of a storm is a snowflake hitting the ground! The whole area shuts down at the site of a snowflake! It’s amusing!
