Unique Silver Jewelry

My girlfriend Carol in California sent a link to this absolutely amazing handcrafted jewelry just a short time ago. If these are not conversation pieces and show stoppers, I seriously don’t know what is!

The artist, Drayok, charges $27 for basic keys, $34 for medium keys and $47 for detailed ones. The work that must go into them alone makes them worth every pretty penny. Check out Drayok’s gallery.

My daughter, the artist

At 13 months of age, my daughter has a knack for art! Give a girl some paint and paper and watch Picasso smile down from the heavens! How sweet is this?! ;-) It’s so gorgeous, I think I will have it printed on canvas! Ohhh, my little Sophia! (I’m not too proud!).

Goodbye Google Chrome

So I gave Google Chrome a try for a few weeks as my sole browser. I am such a Google-loving girl that I thought for sure their browser would rock my world. I kicked Firefox to the curb and have my tail between my legs for it now. I am back with Mozilla’s Firefox and don’t see myself breaking up with my Fox again anytime soon!

What I didn’t like about Chrome was how it never saved my passwords although it asked each time if I wanted to save them. Nor did I like how RSS feeds didn’t work in Chrome. Others noted this as well. Sure, it was fast but not fast enough to have me choose it over Chrome. Oh, and add-ons? Nobody has more than Firefox.

I’m reminded of that saying; “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Lesson learned. I am happily reunited with the one and only fox!

Baaaad coffee. Not all change is good!

I got up way too early this morning and left my brain in bed. For no sane reason, I decided to open this horrific-tasting coffee and brew a pot of it… at 4 am. Why? I just don’t know! It was worse than mud! So I’ll carry on with a new pot of coffee and try to get my productivity back on the rails!

Lesson learned: not all change is good… stick with what you know.

Deceptively Delicious

I have been baking up some muffins for Sophia today. I don’t want to feed her preservative-packed snacks from the store.

When I lived in Europe and Australia, the shelves weren’t stocked with sugar-based cereals and snacks. Kids ate fresh [Read more...]
