Unique Silver Jewelry

My girlfriend Carol in California sent a link to this absolutely amazing handcrafted jewelry just a short time ago. If these are not conversation pieces and show stoppers, I seriously don’t know what is!

The artist, Drayok, charges $27 for basic keys, $34 for medium keys and $47 for detailed ones. The work that must go into them alone makes them worth every pretty penny. Check out Drayok’s gallery.

Thrift Stores in Austin?

My journey of hunting down thrift stores full of treasure finds here in Austin has begun! There’s nothing quite like finding some diamond in the rough piece of decor  for a dime or a dollar! Let the search begin!

Treasure Find: Pillows!

Wow, my treasure hunt went well this week! I found these gorgeous pillows on CampbellYardSales.com for six bucks. They match the colors of the new pad perfectly! Now I REALLY can’t wait to get to Austin and decorate! Chocolate browns, rich reds… mmmm… gorgeous!

Cute Little Chair Treasure Find

Another treasure find! The color is beautiful as it is but I can’t stand to let things sit without a splash of shabby color! I will hold off on painting it until I get settled in Austin. It would be a cute accent piece on a patio. I will likely add it to my store.

Black Leather Chair Treasure Find

I just bought this chair from Campbell Yard Sales for $10. It belonged to the grandmother of the lady I purchased it from. A treasure find for sure! The leather is in great condition. I haven’t decided what color to refinish the wood frame in yet. I will likely leave that until I get settled in Austin and paint it as an accent piece for my living room or master bedroom.

Vintage Meets New

Mixing up a little old with some new. I found the dark brown chair for $5 and the dark brown metal and glass side table for $10 this week. They look great just as they are although a cushion and some shabby refinishing on the chair will add to my never ending fetish with accent furniture!

Made in Hungary

The most gorgeous shade of blue on this coffee mug from Hungary that I turned upside down to photograph.

I found this for a buck on Campbell Yard Sales (a yard sale website).

Today’s Treasure Find

I picked these up today from a lady who just wanted them out of her yard! They are solid and heavy. They were a bit worn, so I repainted them white right away. There’s several more pieces. I might even do a tea stain on a couple of the end tables and use them in my house.
