Sneak Peek: Paint Brush Meets Camera
A peek into what I’m working on…

Once Upon a Long Time Ago Art

This is SO far out of my comfort zone and very different than the photographic art I create. If you’ve ever lost touch with your true self, you’ll get this. I’m working on getting back in touch with my inner creative soul. It’s liberating to work on a piece of art knowing that someone out there somewhere can relate to what I’ve designed. It’s like an “ah-ha” moment!
Please keep checking back for something that might reach your soul… {and grab a pencil, crayon, some paint or even a tube of lipstick and jot down your thoughts in pictures. Even if it’s abstract, it will have meaning to you and that’s all that matters!}. GO FOR IT!
Love Me ‘Til My Heart Stops Photographic Art
This is an art piece I designed from a shot at the beach. It was inspired by a song that was playing on the radio while various thoughts ran through my head and my imagination ran wild. When’s the last time you let your imagination run wild? You should give it a whirl. It’s liberating.

“I Miss You” Vintage Beach Photographic Art

Here’s a new version {below} of my “I Miss You” photographic art from the beach. I created this vintage version while packing up the beach house and moving back to the city.

The past two months have been filled with mixed feelings as we packed up and moved away from the beach. Although it was for necessary in order to to be in the city for Sophia’s Montessori education, it’s been a total change of lifestyle. There’s more square footage mind you, and we have a much more upgraded home. The large second story Florida room is inspiring and relaxing as it backs onto a preserve where we awake to birds chirping in the morning… but it’s definitely not the beach. It won’t be long though before Sophia starts attending her Montessori school and we get back into a routine. Routines are good. Always looking up and open to happiness and change!

Watercolor Art Series by Sophia

I’ve always been inspired by watercolor art. I finally started to act on it late last year by taking a watercolor course. I love it! My little girl just turned three last month and she’s far surpassed my abilities at painting on paper though! I left it to her to create the painted art on index cards that we happened to have lying around. I added some added water drops and word art. Mission accomplished! We’re calling it a successful day! Here’s a couple that she & I did on index cards, then scanned them and added a little “oomph” in Photoshop! [Read more...]
Moments That Take Our Breath Away
“Moments that take our breath away” available in my etsy store.

My daughter turns three next month and as I write this, she’s sitting here playing a puzzle on my iPhone. We’re snuggled up in bed together keeping warm on this chilly Florida evening.
At this very moment, I’m taking in every single moment with Sophia. She is growing up so fast and right here, right now, I know this is a memory in the making that I’ll love forever. I created this piece of art for a greeting card but I’m going to print it on vintage card stock and send it out in the mail art challenge. It was an attempt at recreating some of the fond memories of the past when I spent calm and peaceful moments on the water.
Here’s to wishing you all a warm and toasty night!
