I live at the beach so of course I had to create a Christmas piece of photographic art! It’s a beautiful greeting card; very different than any other your friends and family will receive!

My FRG included this in their monthly newsletter this month. I had such a laugh over all the days that people have a reason to celebrate this month! Some of them are pretty “out there!” Nevertheless, it’s always nice to have a reason to feel happy, happy! I never grow tired of taking photos of the American flag. I am always taking shots on post at Fort Campbell when I take Sophia for walks. This photograph of the flag was taken at The Old Place in Clarksville, TN where we often go to shop for rare finds and treasures. I wonder if my daughter will look at our flag and think of freedom by the time she grows up. I hope so. It’s what her daddy and many others have and continue to fight for.

I wish everyone a memorable Independence Day and have a great amount of gratitude for those brave souls who have and continue to provide us with the freedom we are fortunate to have.

I love the month of February aside from the cold weather. It’s the love month for three reasons this month.

1. My 1st anniversary is tomorrow. Where did the time go?! A year already?!
2. I am due to give birth to our little girl on the 4th. I’m so ready!!!
3. Valentine’s Day is coming up! I luuuuv this day!

Also, my baby shower is this afternoon which I am really excited about! I have so much to be thankful for!

So enjoy this month and whatever it brings you. Don’t forget the V’s Day cards and little love notes!

Here’s to a wonderful new year. I don’t believe in making resolutions, just plans as usual.

2008 was a year of major change from being in college and doing my degree in Los Angeles to getting married and moving to Kentucky, then getting pregnant on the first attempt! Who says 36 year old women have stale eggs?!

2009 is going to be even bigger with Miss Sophia Faith arriving next month and hopefully a new home to move to. The dust doesn’t settle under our feet, that’s a definite!

I hope that this year affords me new friendships with other new moms and that (here comes the vein part…) my body bounces back and I am able to get myself back in shape! I miss my cute little size 4 dresses and skinny legged boots!!!
