Made it to Texas

We made it to College Station after lunch. Travis’ mother lives just outside College Station and there’s SO much beautiful scenery. I’ll be taking photos like crazy this weekend!

We sat out on their patio and had such a nice time. Travis is really happy to be back in Texas. I love that we’re here! I love knowing my husband is so happy to be back in his home state of Texas!

We have a little guesthouse to stay in that Travis’ mother and her husband fixed up for us. I love all the little things they have all around the property like this bench that sits outside the guesthouse awaiting some newlywed couple to sit in it and relax! (That would be us! LOL!).

I felt the need to give this photo an old-fashioned look to it! I’m such a geek…

Travis' Storage Unit in Austin

We got into Austin at 11 am and went straight to the storage unit that Travis has had since he rushed to get his things into storage before he deployed to Iraq a few years ago. As you can see, he did it in a REAL hurry!

When Travis opened the door, my father had such a priceless look on his face! It was pretty funny! He’s cleaning it out this weekend so we have one less thing to worry about. I am so sure I will find something else to do so I can get out of being part of the cleanup crew! LOL!

Meanwhile… the men are coming up with a strategic plan…

Day two… umm, where are the suitcases?!

Oh my gosh. What has happened to me?! I used to love road trips! I’ve driven across America, across most of Canada and I used to actually love to drive to college in Los Angeles regardless of the traffic. My, my. I’m not that girl anymore. I think it’s because I am pregnant. I have to stop and use the little girl’s room every two hours! We’ll never get to Texas at this rate! I’d like to though because Arkansas wasn’t exactly the most exciting place to drive through!

Anyway, enough whining. I took this photo somewhere in Arkansas. Another drive by shot. I think we were stopped at a red light or something. Alan Jackson’s “Little Man” song comes to mind!

Travis had the biggest smile on his face when we drove by this sign. One more hour until we hit Texas and he would be home!

Woohoo! We’re right on the border of Texas!

We made it to Waco where we’re staying for the night. Tomorrow we’ll get to College Station and pick up our suitcase at UPS. Never again will I ever forget my bag! I’m dying already without my things and it’s only been a day and a half! Night!
