So I just finished booking my little work & vacay weekend where I run away from home with my laptop, coffee maker, some files and my new watercolor paints and pads. It’s where I get to indulge on the little things that once upon a time, were everyday things before mommyhood hit me; staying up all night creating and designing, watching movies and hanging out in my pj’s all day. Remember your once-upon-a-time?! Weren’t those the days before my beautiful little mini-me came along!
I have so many things to complete with my business right now that I find a weekend of solitude and freedom allows me to accomplish more than I would in a month of being Mrs. Stay-at-Home Mamita! I can barely wait until Friday!
I encourage you to check out a local hotel and make sure it has all the amenities you desire so that when the chance lands in your lap to temporarily run away from home, you DO IT! Of course, I KNOW I’m a tad bit spoiled with a husband who is really fabulous at being Mister Mamita! He lets me run away from home sometimes (if you knew how geeky I really am like he knows how geeky I really am, you’d see why he lets me run away! I wouldn’t know how to break away from my designing to get into any trouble even if I wanted to!). Ha!
